With all senses at Kita Erdmännli

We all know that children want to explore and discover the world with all their senses. They grasp, feel, smell, taste and hear. These experiences are essential for their development and should therefore also play an important role in the learning process.

At the Erdmännli daycare center, we are particularly concerned that the children are able to learn with all of their senses. We want to create an environment for the children in which they can playfully discover and try out their senses. This is the only way they can understand their environment and develop an understanding of the world around them.

To do this, we use a variety of methods and materials to encourage the children’s senses. For example, we have many different materials such as water, sand or clay with which the children can experiment and learn through play. Music, movement and dance are also important components of our pedagogical concept to promote the children’s senses.

But not only in special activities, but also in everyday life we make sure that the children can learn with all their senses. When cooking or eating together, for example, they not only learn new tastes and smells, but also social skills such as sharing and consideration. Fine motor skills are also trained when tidying up and creating order.

Another important component of our concept is nature. Here, the children can experience the different seasons and train their senses in a variety of ways. In spring, for example, they can discover the first flowers and insects, walk barefoot through the grass in summer, and feel the snow on their skin in winter.

All in all, we want to provide the children at Kita Erdmännli with a holistic education that appeals to all their senses. We want to offer them an environment in which they can learn through play and discover their world with all their senses.
